Make sure you talk to someone that is knowledgeable when it comes to contraindications of mushrooms with other pharmaceuticals. Most natural supplements are fine to take with your microdoses but most SSRIs will affect your tolerance and are not a good idea to take long term together. If you are on lithium it is not suggested that you microdose.

You will want to know what other ingredients might be included in capsules or powder. Many capsules on the market will include things like lions mane mushrooms. You will want to know this information in case you already take something that is included or to insure that you are not allergic to ingredients or capsules.

Mushroom lose their potency over time. Many people will get random mushrooms from friends that have been sitting in a closet for 1-2 years. Taking old mushrooms will give you an incorrect idea of what your tolerance is and delay seeing the benefits.

Not all strains are appropriate for microdosing. Strains like APE are commonly sold online and I believe strains like APE or PE are more appropriate for recreational use because of visuals and body high. Some of the best microdosing strains are Golden Teacher, Nepal Chitwan, Shakti, True Albino Teacher, and B+. Strains I dont suggest for microdosing are Tidal WAve, Albino Penis Envy or APE, Titan.

Taking a microdose in chocolate form is not recommended. It is very hard to gauge how much medicine you are actually taking when you nibble on a chocolate bar. If you are trying to take a true measured sub perceptive dose I suggest using a scale and powder added to tea, juice, or smoothie as the best delivery method. Capsules are also nice and convenient but consider that capsules slow or delay your absorption rate which can extend your experience. Chocolate is best used for higher recreational doses.

If you are buying from a local grower make sure you buy enough to last a couple of months so you don't lose access to your medicine half way through your protocol. If you end up buying more than you can use in 1-2 months please store it correctly. Only keep out 2-5 grams at a time and grind as needed. Anything else should be stored in an airtight jar in a cool, dark, dry place. Do not store in the refrigerator, freezer or direct sunlight.
